TRANSPARENCY: Mike Eisner ran for Commissioner on the promise to bringing transparency to local government. He has demonstrated in his short time as an elected official that transparency is for everyone else. Ask Mike about his Ex parte communications with our new city attorney prior to attacking former city attorney Tom Trask. Tom served the city for decades with integrity and honor. Was the "fix" in for our new city attorney?

Boundaries: Although Eisner has only been in office a short period of time, he has demonstrated that respecting boundaries is not possible for him. He continues to overstep his authority and insert himself in to situations and investigations that are the responsibility of the city manager and staff. He is quick to condemn others but is incapable of self-control or constraint.  

Character: Eisner has demonstrated an attitude that he and only he can save the citizens of Tarpon Springs. He is rude to citizens that come before the board to be heard, makes personal attacks and believes that the northeast way of communication is acceptable in Tarpon Springs. He has gone business to business in the community belittling owners and creating bad will for the city, commissioners and staff.

Common Ground: For many in the community, Eisner was on the right side of the hot button issue of Anclote Harbor. Many agree with his positions but few can abide the damage he causes with his caustic personality and antics. His service is not defined by his vote only but rather by the totality of his behavior and conduct.

Liability: Eisner possesses neither temperament nor the quality of character to be a city commissioner. If left to continue in this capacity the city can look forward to many bad times ahead. There are issues that are unfolding, documents being collected and situations coming to light.

Tarpon Springs is not perfect, but it is an amazing city that deserves better than Mike Eisner.
